Dr Evelyn Tay


Dr Evelyn Tay is an accomplished dermatologist of more than 10 years’ experience. She has wide-ranging expertise in all aspects of general (including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea), paediatric, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. Her sub-specialty interests are in Dermatologic and Nail Surgery, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Lasers and Aesthetic Dermatology. Dr Tay believes in providing honest, effective and evidence-based treatments that are customized to the individual.

Dr Tay completed a highly competitive one-year advanced dermatologic surgery fellowship in London at the Dermatological Surgery and Laser Unit, St John’s Institute of Dermatology with her Human Manpower Development Programme Award by the Ministry of Health. During Dr Tay’s fellowship, she trained under the tutelage of world-renowned dermatologic surgeons and cosmetic dermatologists and advanced and deepened her skills and expertise in advanced procedures and treatments, including more than 600 cases of Mohs micrographic surgery, nail surgery, lasers, dermal fillers and botulinum toxin.

Prior to private practice, Dr Tay was a consultant dermatologist, dermatological and laser surgeon at the Department of Dermatology, Changi General Hospital. Dr Tay excels in her field with her strong work ethics and patient care and has received recognition with her being awarded the Singhealth Service Excellence Awards as a consultant as well as Service Quality Awards for being the Best Houseman in Medicine.

Dr Tay is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Dermatology) and met the rigorous entry requirements to be a member of the prestigious American College of Mohs Surgery. She is also a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery and American Academy of Dermatology. Dr Tay completed her undergraduate medical training at the National University of Singapore in 2010 and was placed on the Dean’s list. She was also the top student in Dermatology and was awarded the Dermatological Society of Singapore Book Prize. She subsequently obtained her membership into the Royal College of Physicians in 2012 and completed her 3-year advanced specialist training at the National Skin Centre in 2016.

Dr Tay is passionate about academics and research, having widely published in international journals and is a regular reviewer for many scientific journals. She was also a clinical tutor for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr Tay continues to contribute to the field of dermatology with innovative ideas and has been awarded research grants to advance knowledge in the field of skin ageing and holds a patent for of a novel skin biopsy device.

Outside of work, Dr Tay enjoys looking at art pieces and can often be found running after her three young children at home, experiencing the world again through their eyes.
