Dr. Ivan Tan graduated with his medical degree from NUS in 1996 and did his housemanship training in SGH rotating through internal medicine, general surgery and O&G. He then completed his medical officer rotation in internal medicine and cardiothoracic surgery before serving as a medical officer in the army.
Dr. Ivan started his private practice in 2000 as a GP with special interests in aesthetics at a time when aesthetic medicine was still in its infancy. He continued to pursue his interests in aesthetics by completing 2 diplomas in dermatology; one from NUS in 2003 and one from Wales in 2004. More recently in 2018, he completed his masters degree in non-surgical facial aesthetics from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.
Dr. Ivan has been active in the aesthetics field by learning from international experts back in the early days and then started to give back to the industry by training other doctors since 2012. He is a faculty member of Allergan Medical Institute and actively trains for them regionally. He is also an appointed trainer for other companies like Galderma, Menarini and IBSA. He is also currently an executive committee member of the Society of Aesthetic Medicine Singapore.
Dr. Ivan started performing toxin and filler injectables since 2001 and is recognised as one of the experts in this field.
